Goats, Pho, and New Wiper Blades
Goat yoga was an AMAZING experience. I was so excited to get to meet my former teammate Dawn and do some goat yoga and catch up. We had the best time, laughed a lot, and the goats definitely challenged our balance on a few moves. My abs hurt the next day, probably from all the laughing we did.
Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga is a great organization and loved the event they put on. There are places like this all around the country and highly recommend participating in an experience when you can - it’s a great workout and a lot of fun. The goats were hilarious and the instructor did a great job guiding us through goat-friendly poses.
After goat yoga, I decided to check out the downtown Denver REI which is probably the biggest outdoor store I’d ever been in. It was a little overwhelming with the size but was able to grab a couple ski tuning items I’d left at home - I always forget something and this trip, I’d forgotten a couple tuning items and grabbed them at REI.
The next day, I was able to grab lunch with my friend Colin. We opted to grab pho and going down Federal we saw a handful of Chinese New Year celebrations happening and it was so exciting to see all of the people out and celebrating. The restaurant was packed, the pho was delicious, and then we headed on to a car wash to remove all the grime from the cross country drive and an auto parts store to get some desperately needed new wiper blades. Not a planned stop but probably the best purchase of the trip so far!
With a clean car, packed, and with a full stomach of delicious pho, I was ready to go start making my way to Breckenridge for some skiing and time in the mountains.
